Smartronix is committed to providing a benefit package that allows our benefit eligible employees and their eligible dependents to have comprehensive benefits to meet a wide variety of family and life requirements.

Medical Insurance

The Cigna Consumer Driven Health Plan (CDHP), an IRS approved medical plan which allows contributions to a Health Savings Account (HSA), puts economic purchasing power and decision making into the hands of consumers. It offers lower monthly premiums in exchange for a higher deductible and Smartronix provides a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA).

For residents of the State of Hawaii, medical coverage is provided by HMSA BlueCross BlueShield of Hawaii (HMSA). The Preferred Provider Plan provides, medical and vision coverage.

For expatriates living outside of the United States, medical coverage is provided by GeoBlue. GeoBlue offers a full range of personal solutions that includes medical coverage both inside and outside the United States.

For those covered by TRICARE, the SelmanCo TRICARE Supplement Plan is available.

TELADOC – 24/7/365 virtual and telephonic access to a U.S. board-certified, licensed physician with no deductible, copayment or coinsurance for those residing in the U.S that are insured on the CDHP or HMSA medical plan.

Dental Insurance

Group dental insurance is offered through Guardian Life Insurance Company. There are two plans from which to choose: The Core Plan and a High Option Plan.

Vision Insurance

Group vision insurance is offered through the Guardian Life Insurance Company.

Basic Life, AD&D and Disability Insurance

Smartronix provides Basic Life, AD&D and group short and long-term disability coverage through Guardian Life Insurance Company.  Individual disability income insurance, which supplements group long-term disability, is available for purchase.

Supplemental Life Insurance

Supplemental life insurance is able to be purchased for employees, spouses, and dependent children through Guardian Life Insurance Company.

Flexible Spending and Commuter Reimbursement Accounts

General Purpose Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Accounts (LPFSA) are available for healthcare expenses. A Dependent Care FSA and Commuter Reimbursement Account are also available.

Voluntary Benefit Plans

Guardian Group Accident Insurance Plan – provides coverage for certain losses resulting from an accident.

Guardian Group Critical Illness Insurance Plan – compliments medical and disability income coverage to help ease the potential financial impact for certain critical illnesses.

InfoArmor Identity Protection Plan – provides identity & credit monitoring of all three credit bureaus, health and financial data protection, social media reputation monitoring, full service identity restoration and identity theft insurance policy protection.

MetLife Hyatt Pre-Paid Legal Plan – provides fully covered services for most frequently needed personal legal matters.

Employee Assistance Program

Available benefits include an anonymous counseling line, life coaching, face-to-face counseling sessions, and website resources for such topics as marriage and relationships, parenting, legal & financial needs, and work - life assistance.  

Concierge Program

Concierge Services helps employees manage time-consuming tasks easily and conveniently by doing research, taking care of errands, making purchases, and much more.

Paid Time Off

Holiday Leave

Smartronix observes ten paid federal holidays each year: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Vacation Leave

All full-time employees accrue 15 days of vacation leave each calendar year. After 5 years of service, full-time employees accrue 20 days of vacation leave each calendar year.

Sick Leave

All full-time employees accrue 5 days of sick leave each calendar year.

Retirement Planning

Smartronix 401(k) Retirement Plan

An eligible employee may contribute up to the IRS maximum limit each year. Smartronix may provide a discretionary employer match. The discretionary match is subject to a 5-year graduated vesting schedule.

Training and Development

Formal Education Assistance -Employees may receive annual tuition reimbursement for career related college courses.

Professional Development Assistance – Smartronix encourages professional development to expand knowledge and skills and provides financial assistance upon approval.

Professional Organization Memberships - Smartronix encourages employees to actively participate in professional organizations and will reimburse membership fees up to an annual maximum.

Compensation Incentives

Employee Referral Bonus - Smartronix encourages our employees to seek out and refer candidates for employment to Smartronix and rewards employees with referral bonuses.

External Referral Bonus – anyone qualifies to submit a referral for consideration for an open posted position.
